This print by Joan Miró is a subtle interplay of fine lines linking colorful geometric figures on a textured, earth-toned background. The work combines recognizable elements, such as an eye, a blue star and a dog, with more enigmatic forms, creating a composition that seems to evoke an imaginary, poetic universe. The juxtaposition of primary colors and fluid shapes reinforces the dynamism of the whole, inviting visual exploration where each element suggests a multitude of possible interpretations.
The rapidly brushed background asserts a certain brutality, a visible speed of execution. It is reminiscent of the wildness of some of Miro's works from the same period. The background contrasts with the precision and meticulousness of the motifs, reminiscent of Miro in the 1920s.
