SCOPE OF APPLICATION: These general Terms of Sale apply to all transactions concluded by Galerie Le Coin des Arts, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 790 730 709, located at 6 rue de l'Échaudé, 75006 Paris, with clients wishing to acquire artworks offered for sale on its website www.lecoindesarts.com or in person at the gallery (6 rue de l'Échaudé or 53 rue de Turenne, Paris).
CONDITION OF ARTWORKS: All artworks are sold in their present condition at the time of sale, including any visible imperfections or conservation marks. Buyers are responsible for examining each work prior to purchase and for requesting additional information from Galerie Le Coin des Arts regarding condition, characteristics, or previous conservation treatments. Re-lining, lining, marouflage, tacketing, or other standard conservation procedures shall not be considered defects affecting the sale. Unless otherwise specified, all artworks are sold unframed. No claims will be accepted regarding normal conservation treatments or minor condition issues.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT: The purchase of an artwork transfers ownership of the physical object only. No intellectual property rights or copyrights are transferred with the sale.
AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE: All artworks presented by Galerie Le Coin des Arts are guaranteed authentic and may be delivered with a certificate of authenticity upon request. Certificates are not issued for posters or works valued below 300 EUR.
PRICES: All prices are NET and listed in Euros (EUR). Prices may be modified without prior notice. Payments are accepted in EUR only.
Payment methods accepted at the gallery (6 rue de l'Échaudé or 53 rue de Turenne):
Carte Bleue, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express, bank checks issued in France, or domestic bank transfers.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or international SWIFT bank transfers for international collectors.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or PayPal (secure payment processed via Ingenico ePayment).
TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Ownership of the artwork transfers only after full payment has been received, in accordance with French law n° 80-335 of May 12, 1980.
LATE PAYMENT: Any late payment will automatically incur default interest without prior notice, calculated at the rate applied by the European Central Bank for its most recent refinancing operation plus ten percentage points, as well as a fixed collection fee of 40 EUR (excluding VAT) for corporate buyers, or higher documented costs where applicable.
NON-PAYMENT – CANCELLATION OF SALE: If payment (or related fees) is not received within 15 calendar days from the invoice date or the specified due date, Galerie Le Coin des Arts reserves the right to cancel the sale automatically and without prior notice. If a deposit has been paid, the gallery will issue a credit note for the full amount including tax.
SHIPPING & INSURANCE: Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
All artworks are carefully packed to ensure safe transport (protective tube, flat packaging, or custom packaging depending on the work).
Each shipment is insured by the gallery up to the purchase invoice amount (maximum 20,000 EUR). For higher values, additional insurance coverage may be arranged by the buyer.
Within France and internationally, shipments are handled via DHL Express (1–2 day delivery where available), with packaging costs included.
A flat shipping fee of 45 EUR (tax included) applies for France and international destinations. Free worldwide shipping is offered for orders over 1,200 EUR (tax included). This rate applies to prints, limited edition prints, and posters shipped unframed. Heavy or framed artworks (such as sculptures or bulky pieces) require a custom shipping quote.
Shipments are dispatched only after payment has been received in full.
IMPORTANT: The buyer must report any shipping damage or non-conformity directly to the carrier within the legally required timeframe (48 hours to 7 business days depending on destination; see carrier terms). Risk transfers to the buyer once the package has been handed over to the carrier (Incoterm CIP).
CUSTOMS: Payment of any customs duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees upon arrival is the responsibility of the buyer. Galerie Le Coin des Arts may assist in coordinating customs clearance with DHL when necessary.
CLAIMS: For online purchases only, in the event of delivery errors or visible defects, claims must be submitted by email within 8 days (14 days for France and EU destinations) after receiving the shipment. Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the buyer.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: For online purchases only, requests to withdraw from the purchase must be submitted by email within 8 days (14 days for France and EU destinations) following receipt of the package (Law n° 2014-344 of March 17, 2014).
Refunds: the purchase price minus return shipping, packaging, insurance, and any applicable customs duties will be refunded within 7 days after receipt of the returned artwork. Please refer to the withdrawal form for details.
RETURN OF ARTWORKS: For online purchases only, returns are not accepted without prior agreement from the gallery. Once approved (valid claim or withdrawal), buyers must carefully repack the artwork in its original packaging; detailed return instructions will be provided. If the original packaging is lost or damaged, buyers must provide equivalent protective packaging at their own responsibility. Artworks damaged due to improper repackaging or buyer negligence will not be accepted.
APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION:
All sales are governed by French law regardless of the buyer’s residence, order location, or delivery destination. These Terms of Sale may be translated for convenience; in case of dispute, only the French version shall prevail. If any provision is deemed invalid or unenforceable, it shall be considered severable and will not affect the validity of the remaining clauses.
In the event of a dispute, the buyer must first contact Galerie Le Coin des Arts in order to seek an amicable resolution. Failing such resolution, disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris Commercial Court. The liability of the gallery is strictly limited to the amount of the order.
No banking or credit card information is stored on this website. For every purchase, you will be required to enter your payment details again (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit card number).
