From “Joan Miró Drawings and Lithographs”
Throughout his career, Joan Miró explored a wide variety of techniques and aesthetics, driven by a constant curiosity and desire to experiment. In Papeles de Son Armadans, a Spanish magazine devoted to art and literature, he conceived a triptych inspired by the Pointillist heritage.
The dots don't seek optical fidelity or to decorate the figures, but to play with our senses: with rhythmic strokes, Miró creates a visual vibration that disturbs perception. A work in which the influence of the avant-garde blends with a deeply personal poetry.
