SCOPE OF APPLICATION: These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all sales concluded by Galerie Le Coin des Arts, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 790 730 709, with its registered office at 6 rue de l'Échaudé, 75006 Paris, France, with clients wishing to purchase artworks offered for sale on its website www.lecoindesarts.com or in person at its gallery locations (6 rue de l'Échaudé or 53 rue de Turenne, Paris).
CONDITION OF GOODS: All goods are sold in the condition in which they are at the time of sale, with all existing imperfections and defects. The buyer is responsible for examining each item prior to purchase and for requesting from Galerie Le Coin des Arts any information regarding the artwork’s condition, characteristics, and possible restorations. Re-lining, lining, marouflage, tacketing, and any comparable conservation or restoration procedures shall not be considered defects affecting the validity of the sale. Unless otherwise stated in the description, all artworks are sold unframed. No claim will be accepted for standard restorations or minor incidents.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT: The sale transfers only ownership of the physical artwork. No intellectual property rights, copyright, or reproduction rights are transferred as part of the sale.
AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE: All artworks offered for sale are guaranteed to be authentic and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity upon request. Certificates of authenticity are not issued for posters or for works valued at under EUR 300.
PRICES: All prices are stated net, in Euros (EUR), and may be modified at any time without prior notice. Payments are accepted exclusively in EUR.

Carte Bleue, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, bank checks, or bank transfers within France.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or SWIFT bank transfers for international clients.

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP: Ownership of the artwork transfers to the buyer only upon full payment of the purchase price, in accordance with French Law No. 80-335 of May 12, 1980.
LATE PAYMENT: Any late payment shall automatically give rise, without prior formal notice, to default interest calculated at the rate applied by the European Central Bank to its most recent refinancing operation, increased by ten (10) percentage points, as well as a fixed recovery fee of EUR 40 (excluding VAT) for professional buyers, or any higher documented recovery costs upon presentation of supporting evidence.
NON-PAYMENT – TERMINATION OF SALE: In the event that payment (or associated costs) is not received within fifteen (15) calendar days of the invoice date or the agreed due date, Galerie Le Coin des Arts reserves the right to terminate the sale by operation of law, without prior notice. If a deposit has been paid, the gallery will issue a credit note for the total amount paid, including applicable taxes.
SHIPPING & INSURANCE: Shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
All packages are carefully prepared, and artworks are shipped using secure and appropriate packaging (tube, flat packaging, or custom protection).
Each shipment is insured by Galerie Le Coin des Arts up to the invoiced purchase amount, with a maximum coverage of EUR 20,000. For amounts exceeding this limit, the buyer must arrange supplementary insurance at their own expense.
Within France and internationally, shipments are made via DHL Express (1–2 business days), with packaging costs included.
A flat shipping rate of EUR 45 (including tax) applies for France and worldwide. Shipping is free for orders exceeding EUR 1,200 (including tax). These rates apply to unframed prints and posters. Heavier, framed, or bulky works (including sculptures) require a specific shipping quote.
Shipments are dispatched only after full payment has been received.
IMPORTANT: Upon delivery, the buyer must make all necessary reservations with the carrier in the event of non-conformity or damage, within the legally prescribed time limits (from 48 hours to seven (7) business days depending on the destination, in accordance with the carrier’s terms and conditions). Risk transfers to the buyer upon handover of the package to the carrier (Incoterm CIP).
CUSTOMS: Any customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees payable upon arrival are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Galerie Le Coin des Arts may assist by coordinating with DHL for customs clearance purposes.
CLAIMS: For online purchases only, any claims relating to delivery errors or apparent defects must be submitted by email within eight (8) days of receipt of the package (fourteen (14) days for France and the European Union). Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL: For online purchases only, the right of withdrawal must be exercised by email within eight (8) days of receipt of the package (fourteen (14) days for France and the European Union), in accordance with French Law No. 2014-344 of March 17, 2014.
Refunds will be issued within seven (7) days of receipt of the returned artwork, and will correspond to the purchase price minus return shipping costs, packaging, insurance, and any customs duties incurred. Please refer to the withdrawal form for further details.
RETURN OF GOODS: For online purchases only, returns will not be accepted without prior written approval. Once approved (valid claim or withdrawal), the buyer must carefully repackage the artwork using the original packaging. Return instructions will be provided. If the original packaging has been lost or damaged, the buyer must supply equivalent packaging at their own responsibility. Artworks damaged due to buyer negligence will not be accepted.
APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION: All sales are governed by French law, regardless of the buyer’s place of residence, the location of the order, or the delivery destination. These General Terms and Conditions are translated for informational purposes only; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version shall prevail. Should any provision be deemed invalid or unenforceable, it shall be considered severable without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions. In the event of a dispute, the buyer must first contact Galerie Le Coin des Arts in an attempt to reach an amicable resolution. Failing such resolution, disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Paris Commercial Court. In all cases, the gallery’s liability is strictly limited to the amount of the order.
No banking information is stored on the website. For each purchase, you will be required to re-enter your payment details (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card number).
