From Graphikmappe Hochschule St. Gallen, 1967
Self-taught, Jean Baier (1932-1999) trained himself through visits to Swiss and French museums and through memorable encounters with Fernand Léger, Michel Seuphor, and Victor Vasarely. Influenced by Neoplasticism, he developed a rigorous body of work combining geometric shapes and flat areas of primary colors.
