Created in 1979, this screenprint belongs to the Microcosmos portfolio, which brings together six original lithographs illustrating Victor Vasarely’s exploration of the optical structure of form and color. True to his kinetic approach, the artist investigates the visual effects produced by the repetition of geometric motifs and chromatic variations. Through the precise arrangement of elementary shapes—circles, squares, or diamonds—Vasarely generates a sense of depth and movement, engaging the viewer’s eye in an active perception of pictorial space. The work reflects the maturity of his visual language and his pursuit of a universal art grounded in science and geometry.
