Here, Seiko Tachibana evokes the vestige of passing time, fragile and ephemeral as an autumn breeze that carries away the delicate murmur of nature. The contours of each leaf seem to float, suspended between the moment when they detach themselves and the moment when they reach the ground. These delicate shapes, drawn with simple lines, invite us to observe the beauty of the imperceptible movement as they slowly separate from their branches.
There's a poetry here of lightness and detachment. These shapes could be leaves or petals scattering in the air, settling wherever the wind takes them. The emptiness that surrounds them creates a subtle tension, as if the work were capturing the moment of fall, when all the elements come together. It's a meditation on the passage of time, on natural cycles, where what falls is reborn elsewhere, and where each isolated element is part of a much larger whole, made up of departures and rebirths.
