A turned jug in white earthenware, decorated with oxidised paraffin, white and black glazes
Madoura ‘Édition Picasso’ stamp and ‘Madoura plein feux’ intaglio stamp on the underside of the base
This ceramic jug features one of Picasso’s favourite subjects, reflecting his passion for bullfighting in his work. Crafted in the Madoura workshop, the white slip highlights the Spanish artist’s vigorous, dark lines, creating a striking contrast with the silhouettes of the bull and the picador.
